Santa Monica, California: Shape-Shifting Head of David Lynch

Made of motorized chrome-steel plates, the large shiny head occasionally shifts into a recognizable approximation of the Hollywood director. The rest of the time it is, in the words of its artist, "abstract and indiscernible." Cost $1 million to build.

Head of David Lynch.

Eraserhead by David Cerny

This is a giant bust of Hollywood auteur David Lynch. It rotates in sections.

[Brian Bubonic, 04/11/2024]

Unveiled in early April 2024, the head is 21 feet high and cost $1 million to build. Since it stands outside of an apartment building, the head's various motors have to be very quiet.
