Appalachian Trail Museum
A museum is devoted to the history of the 2,180-mile-long Appalachian Trail since its inception in 1937. Tools, gear, and other artifacts are on display. There is also a children's section that introduces young hikers to the Trail with an informative mini-hike thru 14 Trail states. Photos of past thru-hikers and videos about the Trail experience are also on display.
