I stopped by, and loved this rusty art installation. Yea, it's got graffiti inside, and you have to be careful not to bump your head -- but you get to view what's in the tubes and peer out of the holes to see outside. Kinda like putting on an extra helmet.

The Planetariummonetarium is a cool piece of art on the Peekskill Riverwalk. The inside is filled with graffiti and the kaleidoscopes unfortunately do not turn, but it's still a really interesting and thought-provoking piece. I am so glad we pulled off the highway to take a look since there were no pictures or tips yet on this one. From the plaque: "The inside of the sphere creates an intimate inner-space on the shore of the Hudson River. The visitor enters the sphere, peers through, and turns the kaleidoscopes that are filled with small drawings. The Peekskill planetarium is not about our solar system, but about our monetary system. Is the monetary state more complicated than the solar system?"
