Now the official UFO Capital of Missouri, Piedmont has completed the first phase of its "UFO Capital of Missouri Park." Visitors can sit in the shade of a 16-foot-wide UFO, take a selfie with "JT" the green alien, or ride on the "moon rover." A sign at the park entrance gives information about the town's recent designation as a unique state symbol.

Piedmont has embraced its official claim to fame as the UFO Capital of Missouri. They have recently opened a UFO Park and many businesses in town have put up extraterrestrial displays. While it's been awhile since the peak of sightings in the 1970s, who knows what aliens you may encounter.
