The National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden is situated beside the National Gallery's West Building and boasts a menagerie of interesting artwork. Among them are Barry Flanagans Thinker on a Rock, a Pooka-inspired twist on Rodins original; a gangly spider by Louise Bourgeois; Personnage Gothique, Oiseau-Eclair; a giant typewriter eraser; House I by Roy Lichtenstein; Robert Indianas Amor; and more! The green space is the location of the popular Jazz in the Garden series, which began in 2001. The concerts are held on Friday nights in warm weather months and tickets must be obtained via weekly lottery.
