In the 1950s the Boy Scouts erected around 200 mini Statues of Liberty across the country; this is one of the survivors. It is the centerpiece of a memorial park dedicated to the five U.S. military services. Gifted to the city in 1952, Lady Liberty used to be in Overman Park, then she was moved to this location 1997.
