880 pounds of trash (mostly plastic) were fashioned into a huge rooster by street artist Bordalo II. Students from the local VocTech High School welded the framework and base. Some messages reflected in this sculpture are consumerism, waste, and disregard of flora and fauna.

Because the 20-foot-tall rooster is made of environmentally unfriendly stuff, it's expected to last until 2030. Bordalo II told the Boston Globe that since he transformed the trash into art, it's no longer trash.
