Oil well pump jack labeled "Orlampa Oil and Gas Co." is a fantasy by local eccentric Kermit Weeks. There is no such company, no town of Orlampa, and no oil under this part of Florida.

On the north side of I-4 in Polk City there are a few fake oil wells visible from the freeway. These were the work of entrepreneur Kermit Weeks as part of his vision of "Orlampa," the fusion of Orlando and Tampa. The most accessible "well" is on the northeast corner of FL-559 and I-4 westbound exit ramp.
