Uncle Wilber Fountain

Great place for the whole family. The statue rises up every hour to give you a water / musical experience. The water is cool, so bring a towel and a change of clothes. There is also a playground, but no restroom. Be prepared to purchase something from Subway or Starbucks if you need to use their bathrooms. [JoLene, 06/14/2016]

Uncle Wilber Fountain

The blue bubble is pretty ...but in the afternoon it turns into a cool water show. The ball lifts and Uncle Wilber and his Dalmatian play saxophone music and the water is moving in time to the music. The ball goes up and down and it's great! Also a fun splash park for kids. Loved it!

Uncle Wilber Fountain

Uncle Wilber (namesake of the fountain designer's uncle) is an animated character. Perched on a stool, he plays a silly-Sousaphone. When the water is off, Uncle Wilber is hidden inside what appears to be a giant, bright blue bubble. But as the water pulses into the fountain, he slowly rises -- sousaphone in hand -- from the mosaic concrete pedestal and begins to dance and spout water to the giddy sound of piped-in tuba music. The performance lasts for 6-8 minutes and occurs hourly between the months of May and September.
