The core of the museum is the collection of vintage communication devices of Marcus and Sheryl Bendickson; Marcus would restore the innards, Sheryl the exteriors. Built around these items are interactive displays, including one where you have to send an urgent message in Morse code (judged by a snarky virtual telegraph station manager) and another where you have to connect calls between Huntsville persons of the past using a vintage switchboard. Pioneering and notable machines are exhibited, including televisions, record players, transistor radios, telephones, computers and early video games. There's a working ham radio shack and AM radio station, and even a complete vacuum tube shop with a dizzying array of tube manufacturers and types, all on the shelves or in cases waiting for a customer to come in and buy one.
