After years of darkness, it was turned back on Oct. 24, 2015. It's perched atop an Art Deco tower, which stands where Thomas Edison once had a workshop. A small museum next door is packed with Edison inventions. Roadsideamerica.com Report...

Great stop, free. In a neighborhood. There is a small visitors center.
[Lindsay D., 07/28/2017]The tower will be re-dedicated in October 2015, after it was resurfaced with new paint and concrete added. Jack Stanley, former curator of the Edison Museum, is gone with a new non-profit in there.

Still under construction and is difficult to view under all the scaffolding, but still cool to see it.
[Shannon, 11/06/2014]Just stopped by and the tower is still fenced off and wrapped in scaffolding.
[KRASH, 05/15/2013]The tower, built in 1937, topped by the World's Largest Light Bulb, has been closed for years. Work is very slowly progressing to repair and reopen it to the public, though the scaffolding looks more serious now.
