North America's Tallest Elevator Test Tower

I don't know a whole lot about this building. But having recently moved to the area, it does intrigue me. I always wondered what Otis Elevator does. I thought I'd send you a picture at least.

North America's Tallest Elevator Test Tower

On the approach to Lake Compounce, the surrounding scenery is pretty normal for Connecticut However, there are a few things that are quite different. The most peculiar site, besides the ESPN building surrounded by gigantic satelite dishes, is a slender skyscraper jutting up from a tree-filled landscape. This is the 383 foot (117 meter) elevator test tower, located at The Bristol Research Center, home to the Otis Quality Assurance Center. While there may be no public access to the shaft, it is clearly visible from surrounding roads at its whopping 383 feet.
