Northlandz

It's been several years since I visited this fine attraction, so it was time for a road trip. I read various reviews of the place recently and wanted to judge and compare for myself. I must admit I was still impressed and my companion even more so since it was her first trip there. It was a relatively slow weekday, which resulted in us being treated to a musical selection by Bruce himself!

Great God -- this place is huge! Our troop enjoyed the whole idea of "World's Largest;" it is for sure. Looks all but closed on the outside. Make sure you allow a few hours to really take it in.

Northlandz has been restored to its former glory. Clean paint, more trains and lots of cleaning. Anyone of any age will love it!

Northlandz - Miniature Railroad

We really enjoyed the day. We walked through many set-ups, to come to a sign that stated we just saw 2% of the display! The train set up was huge. After almost 2 hours, watching many trains running through the tunnels and bridges, we stopped at the gift shop for a toy. We then went out to ride the real train. Very nice! The employees were very pleasant.

I would suggest Northlandz for all little boys to see. Our grandson was only 1 1/2 and the display was too tall for him to stand and see. We had to carry him through the entire thing. Just right for maybe a 3-4 year old.

And the tall 3-4 year old in all of us.

Northlandz

After driving an hour and a half with my 3 year old son to see the trains, all we saw were dirty, broken down displays, with very few trains running. We were not the only ones complaining. The funniest thing was a sign near a broken part of the exibit that said that an 18 month old climbed into the display and broke a bridge 7 or 8 years ago, so they left it to look like a train wreck. Well, they did get one thing right, Northlandz is a train wreck!
