The World's Tallest File Cabinet is still there, although looking pretty rusty by now. Some of the higher-up drawers are left partly open, and the number of birds flying in and out of them suggests that they are being used for nests. Maybe this ecological use will assure its preservation??

The filing cabinet is very old, but a great tourist sight. Very easy to find. It's off of Shelburne st (route 7) on Flynn Ave between Pine Street and Foster Street. The filing cabinet is right next to the road on the right side.
[Maybeth, 03/27/2009]The cabinet was built in 2002 by local artist Bren Alvarez. It stands in the path of a proposed beltway that was never built. Each drawer (38) represents the number of years of paperwork accumulated by the project.
It's still there! Ridiculously hard to find...
[Maeve Sullivan, 10/01/2007]But it's oh-so-rewarding when you do find it!
Wow. This is a must see if you are in Burlington! It is located in a residential area it seems, and there it's basically on a deserted block of land. It is really bizarre, though.
