Sardine Museum

This small museum was open in June, 2010. Pretty much got a personal tour of the museum, which I remember having some excellent photographs. It's also just a few steps from Annabelle's, the easternmost bar in the U.S.A.

Sardine Museum

Reconstructed Sardine Cannery with old machinery, old labels, pictures, even 100 year old cans of sardines! Located on Route 1 just before the village. Hours are irregular -- if the owner's car is there he will show you around. It is the life-long project of Barney Rier.

[David Orbeton, 05/22/2004]

Lubec was once the "Sardine Canning Capital of the World."
