A towering Bunyan with blobby hands is now the mascot of a bar named Timber's. He had stood outside a local lumber company since the early 1970s.

The [Bunyan] outside of Timbers bar is usually dressed up as a giant Santa Claus around Christmas time. They put a red and white suit on him, plus a hat. In his right hand he holds a Christmas tree and the axe in his left hand is hidden by a large sack of toys. I lived in Muncie for two years, and they did it the Christmas of 1996 and 1997.

On the south side of town where 32 meets Tilottson Avenue at a bar name Timbers. This Muffler Man has been "Bunyanized" to resemble a lumberjack.
