The lions on the Bridge of Lions were commissioned and donated by former St. Augustine mayor Andrew Anderson. They are named Fiel (Faithful) and Firme (Firm), and were installed when the bridge was built in the 1920s. The lions, carved by Romanelli, are located on the west side of the bridge. Sometimes a man's just got to guard his town with lions!
