Very cool! My husband saw this growing up, coming to Michigan. It was a trip down memory lane for him!
[Emily, 09/28/2024]In the 1960s, this Uncle Sam stood outside Toledo, Ohio. It was on Laskey Road, across from the Miracle Mile shopping center, in front of a restaurant named "Uncle Sam's." In the 1970s we watched it lowered and taken away as Uncle Sam's closed.

[jjoltss, 06/11/2011]The person had mentioned that there was a Giant Uncle Sam in Toledo...he took a walk north and is standing in Michigan now a few exits up US 23 on the west side.
