The man who invented hundreds of uses for the humble peanut is buried in a grave sometimes augmented with offerings of jarred peanut butter.

- From W. Montgomery Rd turn onto the campus of Tuskegee University. Pass through the entrance gate and drive straight back. After you pass the four-floor brick building on the right, the small cemetery will be on the left, in among some trees.

Carver is buried at Tuskegee University Campus Cemetery. The inscription on his headstone reads: "He could have added fortune to fame, but caring for neither, he found happiness and honor in being helpful to the world."
