During the devastating tornado that tore up 3/4 of the small town of Marengo on May 31st, it's reported that a dozen neighbors rushed to Marengo Cave for shelter. The cave is open for business.

Last year Marengo Cave celebrated the 120th anniversary of its discovery by two school children in 1883. Marengo's Dripstone Trail Tour includes such formations as "Snow White's Castle" and "Great Wall Of China." The Crystal Palace Tour includes an underground pageant that ends with an American flag waving on the pipe organ formation. Marengo guides recount the story of the country's only cave robbery.

The Marengo Maze Crawl cave simulator, imported from Belgium, allows guests to wind and twist one way through four challenging wooden boxes.
