Rock Island Railroad - Library Ghost
It's a restored depot that's worth a trip even without the ghosts!
[Steve B, 01/08/2020]We were in town at Waurika Lake, and came to the library to check e-mail, when we overheard the librarian say she had a ghost in the library and had it on tape. Well, we just had to see it, and boy was she right. It is the strangest thing. For weeks they had a book falling off, and as they filmed, the book moved by itself with no help. And then you see a man in the back of the library -- but you can see right thru him. She had some photos of the ghost, too. If you are ever down that way and want a good spook, go check this out.
[Mike Phillips, 11/09/2006]This is an old railroad station built in 1912, turned into a library, which houses old photos and artifacts from the station. While visiting I went to the back of the building -- the librarian and I were the only ones in the building at the time. The phone began to ring. But it was a phone from old times like my grandmother's. Then we heard the door open and close. When she went to see who had come in, no one was there. Now that was strange....
