This museum is really great (make sure you check out the replica silver mine in the basement), but the second floor has this excellent and creepy doll exhibit. Two-faced dolls!

I ran across this last weekend at the Nevada State Museum in Carson City, Nevada. Amongst the displays of Indian artifacts, button collections, and stuffed birds and animals, there is a display about the effects of the dry desert air. Included in the display is this mummified cat. The placard explained that the cat was probably one of the earliest settlers of Nevada but died when it got its foot caught in a bird's nest. The cat was found in a tree in 1946.
