Harley at Sandhills Curiosity Shop.

Sandhill Curiosity Shop

This "shop" is totally worth a detour off Route 40. The sign collection is unlike anything I've ever seen. It even includes some Disney items from when the Imagineers apparently visited the shop while doing research for the movie Cars. We got to chat with Harley for a bit and he even let my husband play one of his guitars. He is a total character with a raunchy sense of humor and we could have hung out with him for hours. Thanks for the laughs, Harley; keep on keepin' on!

A ride down Route 66 isn't complete without stopping at the oldest brick building in Oklahoma. Although Annabelle passed several years ago, Harley is still here and welcomed us in. We wish we could have spent the day, as there was so much to see. Men like Harley portray the authentic vibe of Route 66, and we're so glad we had a chance to meet him. Donations accepted and very well worth it.

Sandhills Curiosity Shop

Super cool place. You can just leave a little donation and talk to the owner. You get to see the ghost town that is 66 now.

Allow time for a jam session, and the stories are definitely PG-13.

Stop and see Harley for a few laughs! Definitely a memorable experience; not for the uptight traveler though!
