Erick, Oklahoma: Sandhill Curiosity Shop

A shop where nothing is for sale and its greatest curiosity is its owner, Harley, "the Mediocre Musicmaker." Its exterior is covered in old road signs and a claim that Erick is "The Redneck Capitol of the World."

Sandhill Curiosity Shop.

Sandhill Curiosity Shop

A ride down Route 66 isn't complete without stopping at the oldest brick building in Oklahoma. Although Annabelle passed several years ago, Harley is still here and welcomed us in. We wish we could have spent the day, as there was so much to see. Men like Harley portray the authentic vibe of Route 66, and we're so glad we had a chance to meet him. Donations accepted and very well worth it.

Sandhills Curiosity Shop

Super cool place. You can just leave a little donation and talk to the owner. You get to see the ghost town that is 66 now.

Allow time for a jam session, and the stories are definitely PG-13.

Stop and see Harley for a few laughs! Definitely a memorable experience; not for the uptight traveler though!
