The World's Largest Cherry Pie was not baked in Traverse City, Michigan, nor in George, Washington, but in a small Canadian town in British Columbia named Oliver. The pie was made in 1990 with 30,000 pounds of pie filling, of which approximately 20,000 pounds were cherries. I know this to be true because I made the pastry crust for this 20-foot diameter monster.
