Robinson Scenic Gardens

This is a great place to stretch your legs and see some cool concrete statues and figurines. Most prices are reasonable. I have bought a few things from here on journeys back from Mackinaw City or the UP. It is now owned by new people, but still worth the stop if you like fun or unusual stuff for your yard.

The more elaborate and large statues, left over from the property's first owners, the Good Shepherd Scenic Gardens, are probably not for sale.

This is about 6-7 miles south of town. We hunted for it for a good half-hour. Drove past it as we were heading south out of town.

The artwork in the front is pretty normal. I had to look hard to find the strange horse. The biblical section is almost non-existent. The vibe of the property itself is not strange. The strange feeling comes from a different source.

My husband and I are no strangers to weird and unusual roadside oddities, however this one kept us in our vehicle due to the odd energy and creepiness this stop eluded. You'll definitely leave this site wondering if there's more happening here than just statues being made!

We came thinking there would be a pathway or structured display, but it's really just a yard with a collection of giant statues and then a bunch of smaller ones for sale. The owners were present and helpful, and busy making new statues. Interesting, but probably not worth structuring a route around.
