Shoe Tree

This shoe tree has been there all my life (1963) and was still there when I moved from the area in 1996. Anyone who went to high school around Highland Park or Deerfield or even Highwood would know of the shoe tree, although it is not on a really busy road.

Make sure you look up, the tree is right next to the road on someone's property. There is nowhere to park right next to the tree -- park down the street at the Berkley Prairie Forest Preserve. You will come to it about one minute before the shoe tree.
