I drove past Tony in September 2008 and he's still standing and in good shape. A sight to see!

The MM at Tony's Transmissions is located on Cesar Chavez at Eastern. He is a beautiful macho Latino with moustache wearing a blue baseball type cap, white shirt, blue pants. His hands are in the classic MM position, right up/left down holding a red car. He is protected by a tall blue iron fence.
[Becca Gamero, 09/03/2004]According to an eyewitness, the missing "Latinized" Muffler Man in East LA is back! The owner claims some guys in "Hollywood" came and "rented" it for a couple of days. Other recent cameos: Jersey Muffler Man in the opening titles of HBO's The Sopranos; brief "rack job" shot in a Saturn commercial.
