Was exploring Boston for the first time, with tourist map in hand thanks to the local tour trolley company. Wandered all over the city checking out the sights. Was crossing a bridge and noticed a building coming over the horizon across the canal the bridge crossed -- it was the hood milk bottle building. As a fan of seeing things out of the ordinary it made me smile and wanna get over to the building as fast as can be to observe it!
It definitely sticks out like a sore thumb. The shape it is in is just absolutely wonderful!
[Tyler Salls, 11/14/2010]The Hood Milk Bottle wasn't open due to the time of year, but it appears to be an annex of the Au Bon Pain in the Children's Museum which it is located next to. It is between the museum and the water; you can't miss it. If you are on the Congress St. or Northern Ave. bridges, you can see it.

Walked forever to find it! But when we did, it was surreal! It's been re-done, but alas! No ice cream yet. The inside was still being remodeled. By far, the best attraction yet! 5 stars!
[Jill V., 07/03/2007]The 40-ft Milk Bottle is only half of what it used to be -- at least for now. The wooden building has temporarily been disassembled as they repair the structure. A new foundation has been poured and the base of the bottle, which houses the concession stand has yet to be built. Unless they are now marketing it as "Half and Half" milk, this is all you will see until it is finished late in the fall of 2006.

At the Wharf in Boston on the Plaza by the Childrens Museum in a Giant Hood Milk Bottle. The Milk Bottle is 40 feet high and made entirely of wood. There is large text on the bottle: "It's Hoods be Good." Currently the Bottle serves as a concessionaire selling hot dogs, ice cream and soda.
