The Uniontown Mr. Tire Muffler Man -- after the restoration.
[John Marshall, 11/09/2020]
The Muffler Man had been painted in a Steelers outfit -- now back to the "original" red and blue. Has been here for over 50 years, at least!
[Irene Egan, 10/12/2015]
This Muffler Man is still standing tall. The only noticeable change from the previous postings is that his headgear is now painted in a color to blend in with his hair.

Import Export Tire in Uniontown recently had a problem with one of our longtime workers. It came as a surprise to all of us -- we didn't realize he was having a mid-life crisis. But I guess we should have seen the problem coming. He has worked for us for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for the last 43 years. He has been in our advertising department for that whole time.
We are happy to report that after work on some internal injuries and a face lift he will be able to return to work soon. The prognosis is very good that he should be able to continue work for at least another 40 years.
We would like to welcome everyone to come out and celebrate with us, friends, and dignitaries as our Paul Bunyan Giant returns on September 26th.
Interesting facts you may not know about our Paul Bunyan Giant: His shoe size is 48 inches, his hat size is 7 feet 9 inches in circumference, he is 20 feet 6 in. tall, and weighs 820 lbs. He was made in California and first became a full time worker for Fayette Tire shop in 1964. He was purchased at a Tire convention in Washington DC.

Owned by [Import-Export Tire]. The statue on occasion will hold the terrible tire during football season (go Steelers).
