I love this kinda thing -- really big statues of things -- so this giant Paul Bunyan really fits the bill. I haven't been able to find out exactly how tall he, is but we guessed about 25 feet. I have a call into the Gun Range that owns him to find out for sure. Yes, it's on private property, but I quickly walked in, took my picture, and left; no problem.

There are Do Not Enter signs, but if discreet, the owner doesn't mind. It is located on a shooting range. Members only.

I was escorted beyond a couple of locked gates by an understanding employee. Paul Bunyan looked to be in great shape, although he could use a pressure wash to remove some algae.
The rifle club gave him an axe to hold.
[Larry, 09/05/2010]The Paul Bunyan statue used to stand at the Dairy Queen that was at the junction of River Road and Meridian St in the 1970s.
[will b, 06/23/2008]He now stands in front of towering evergreen trees that dwarf him -- a very apt location for a Bunyan Muffler Man!
There is a Paul Bunyan at the Paul Bunyan Rifle and Sportsman Club. He is one of the fiberglass statues that is a cousin to the muffler man statues. The club acquired him around 1991 from a motel in downtown Puyallup after his ankles were broken in a windstorm. I am the recording secretary at the Paul Bunyan Rifle Club. We are a private member shooting range that has been in the Puyallup area since 1945. We are very proud to have Paul as our mascot!
