DWO Fiberglass Co. is building a 20 ft. tall fiberglass sculpture of three native Americans playing lacrosse. The statue, based on a much smaller sculpture by Elmer Petersen on Second Street in La Crosse, will welcome visitors at the northern town limits, on Rose Street. The statue will cost about $170,000 and be completed in early 2005, according to the La Crosse Tribune.
