White's Tire Muffler Man

My story of this muffler man goes like this: He is a large statue that stands to the side of the building with his right hand up waving at the traffic and left hand holding a tire. My friend told me that if you wave back to "Mr. White" you will have good luck. Well, I waved to him once on a trip, and had nothing but bad luck. He is not my friend. I pass him every time I am on my way to or from school in Greenville, NC

Muffler Man - White's Tire #2

Recently while visiting my girlfriend, I located a second muffler man in Wilson! I have seen the muffler man mentioned on the sightings page, he sports the trademark muffler man opposing hands. The particular one I located at another White's tire service in Wilson, is more a looming bunyan than muffler man. His right arm is raised in a waving position, while his left arm is down at his side. I can't recall if he is holding a tire in his left hand.

Muffler Man - White's Tire

There is one on hwy 64 between Raleigh and Greenville. I saw him every week for 15 months going to work at ECU in Greenville. He is at White's Tire Service, holding a tire.
