- I-95 exit north onto Hwy 896 (College Ave.). Turn left on Main St., then a right onto New London Rd at Deer Park Tavern. After less than a half-mile turn right on David Hollowell Dr. at Courtyard Hotel. It is suggested you park at hotel and walk along the Drive. The Hen is on the right past the sorority houses, under the pedestrian walkway. There is a steep bike path from Ray St.

[Tiffany, 06/02/2006]The Blue Hen statue depicts the University of Delaware mascot. It is a large metal bird located near the Pencader residence halls. It is blue with a yellow beak, yellow feet, and grey base, and cannot be missed by people passing through. A large set of stairs located nearby the Hen leads to Ray Street.
