Tom Every worked with no blueprints when he created his huge scrap metal sculptures south of Baraboo. In this short video, he told us a little about "Dr. Evermor" and his expectations of those assisting in a launch of The Forevertron.

[Dr. Evermor, in signature pith helmet, stands in front of a huge machine he invented, the Forevertron.]
Evermor: The Forevertron is designed and built in a timeframe of around 1890.
Whereas, our dear doctor was kind of like a scholarly professor, who thought that he could perpetuate himself back into the heavens on a magnetic lightning force beam, inside a glass ball, inside a copper egg.
Then you have to understand that electricity was just coming in. Magnet forces of strong thought pattern, and we certainly didn't have you know, the spacecraft that we have today.
So when we talk about these bridges, and people going over, we can't use the term ground crew. They were just men making sure that all the switches were in the right order.
So that when we were going to fire the dear doctor back on this magnetic lightning force beam it would work.
