Ojibwa Indian Head
This piece is easy to see from the road. It needs some TLC.
[Pam Murack, 10/12/2014]Peter Toth Whispering Giant
"Tribute to the Ojibwa" - originally at the old Carnegie library, it has been moved to the new library. Originally carved in 1977, Peter Toth returned to Hayward to restore the carving when it was moved. We were sad to see that it is in disrepair now.
You can get pics by stopping on the highway. We parked in the library parking lot and walked a short distance to the statue.
