A bearded rooftop Bunyan held two tires. One of the clan of fiberglass giants that brandish axes and auto parts across our great nation. 2014-2020 tips indicated he is no longer displayed.

Drove past today and the parts store is being remodeled. No sign of the Muffler Man. Hopefully he'll be back when the renovations are complete.

This Muffler Man used to be Paul Bunyan, and held a big ax. He was part of a larger collection on display at Webb's City, "The world's most unusual drug store," in St. Petersburg. The only remnants of Webb's City are the parking lot and Doc Webb's penthouse apartment at 1st Ave S. and 9th St.

The Muffler Man on the roof of an auto repair shop has held a pair of tires for a long time, and has become an icon for the business. A nearby poster depicts a line art version of the statue for "The Big Man Inc."
