Quirky Tourist Attractions in or near Wisconsin
While in Wisconsin, you might enjoy a visit to:
Retired lumberjack Fred Smith made over 200 life-size figures out of concrete and old beer bottles, including one of Mr. and Mrs. Abe Lincoln.
Donated to the town in 1925 by Sue Hammond Rae, and moved to his current Mall spot on August 3, 1983. Unusual in that his exposed skin has been given a golden wash, while the rest of the statue is a monotone gray.
A smiley face makes the water happy and smiles down on this westernmost Yooper town.
The biggest of all big Indians -- 52 feet tall -- guards the land route into Michigan's upper peninsula.
