Redlands, California - Abraham Lincoln Shrine
An amazing memorial to Abe Lincoln and the Civil War era. Inside there are many artifacts, and a place where scholars, students, and researchers can get a lot of information. There's even a hands-on experience when you can practice Morse Code. The volunteers are very friendly and knowledgeable about Lincoln and the Redlands area. Best of all, its free!

San Francisco, California - St. Francis Made of Melted Guns
In 1968, artist Benny Buffano fashioned "Saint Francis of the Guns" from 1,968 melted guns from a voluntary weapons amnesty program in San Francisco, and incorporated the tiled faces of four assassination victims: JFK, RFK, MLK, and Lincoln.

East Hartford, Connecticut - Lincoln Welcomes Your Conversation
The Lincoln Financial Sculpture Walk is comprised of sixteen art pieces -- spread between Hartford and East Hartford -- that commemorate the life and career of Abraham Lincoln. One is a life-size statue of a young Abe, seated with his hand extended. The inviting photo-op is titled "A Welcome Conversation" and was sculpted by Don Sottile in 2006. Go and sit a spell!

The Lincoln Shrine claims to be the largest Lincoln memorial west of the Mississippi. Memorable displays include a marble head of Lincoln that doesn't look much like him, and a partly-eaten Civil War cracker.
