40 feet wide and 26 feet high, the wall is actually a copy of Brazil's Chafariz de Sao Jose Fountain, given by Brazil as "a Token of Friendship to her Namesake, the City of Brazil." Back in the 1950s the city had plans to surround the fountain with all kinds of South-American-themed attractions, but they were never built, and the fountain is currently dry.
