I was looking for this sight and stumbled upon it accidentally because I like going antique shopping. Evidently, there's been a problem with unsupervised children going into the store to see the muffler man, so anyone under 16 must be supervised by an adult. The muffler man is located straight back from the entrance. Also, on the second floor, first room on the right, is a statue of the Jolly Green Giant. Not as tall, but still an interesting sight!

Just thought I'd confirm that these guys are still here, and I'll add a photo of the pink elephant.
[Ron Renken, 03/24/2007]The big beach guy and the pink elephant that was at the Coliseum Antique Mall in Benld, Illinois now has a new home, at the old Livingston High School. They sit in front of the old school which is now The Pink Elephant Antique Mall. And inside the mall is a muffler man.
[Ellen Reinacher, 09/10/2006]While travelling old Route 66 in Illinois I came across this giant fiberglass beach guy. It stands in front of the Coliseum, which is now an antique shop. On the opposite end of the building is a pink elephant on a trailer. I assume this is a new attraction because it does not show up on any Route 66 books or web sites or even the Illinois Rt. 66 maps available from the welcome centers. I mention this only because the Coliseum itself does show up on a state 66 guide.
[Richard Weiss, 05/18/2005]These was a tip on this Swimmer Giant earlier in 2005 -- he appears to be recent installment. We've seen the mold for this model at FAST in Sparta, Wisconsin. Sun glasses optional.
A large collection of war regalia, formerly much larger before its owner went bankrupt.
