- Branson, Missouri - World's Largest Toy Museum
My daughter and I went last summer. My favorite riding horse was there that was my brother's from the early 1950s. So many memories; toys that my mom had from when she was little (born in '29), when I was little in the '60s, and toys my daughter played with '90s. It was worth every penny for the memories!

[Julie, 01/20/2017] Lots of toys, but little supporting information. It covers a wide range of toys from the past hundred years and a few that are even older. They are grouped well. The museum has added an additional section featuring a BB gun museum and many more Star Wars toys, but charges an additional $5 fee to enter.
[John Francis, 06/21/2016]Roadside dinosaur comedy explores recurring motifs, no matter where you go. If there's a Tyrannosaurus statue with a gaping, toothy maw, there's a good chance a partially devoured mannequin will be hanging from it.
Though Dinosaur Canyon Golf is part of a mini-golf chain, it interprets that scene with some welcome tension -- the anticipated meal. In among its prehistoric putting hazards, leviathan rib walkway, and fake volcano, is a T-Rex. On the steep side of the volcano a tourist dummy clambers up. Will he be eaten? Or get away?

At the height of summer this place looked well-kept, but up against Branson's other miniature golf attractions, longevity -- like Star Power -- is not guaranteed. Shoot for the Stars offers a series of holes around Hollywood landmark replicas: the Beverly Hills Hotel, Capitol Records building, Paramount Studios, Grauman's Chinese Theater. In typical Branson style, the big Oscar statuettes barely resemble the real ones. Everything has the feel of a rough approximation to Hollywood, intermixed with fake palm trees and some goofball figures of Hollywood types. Scoring at the Star-O-Meter hole may light up the star tower behind it; we're not sure.
