- Kansas City, Kansas - Happy Halfwit Muffler Man
I believe this was the same statue that stood in front of a store in Kansas City, Missouri, on Wornell Road, for many years, and was purchased and moved to Kansas when that store closed. It looks rather like a statue that's in storage at Bell Plastics in California.

The largest collection of stuffed mule deer in the world -- including multiple world record deer -- is at the Mule Deer Country Museum inside the Kansas City Cabela's.
[Ethan Rosa, 11/23/2021]This Cabela's was formerly the home of the World Record Dead Catfish, 124 pounds and nearly five feet long. If you come for the deer, ask around; the catfish may still be in here somewhere.

It's not 3D now, but you can see where it used to exist.
[Alan R. Knight, 06/16/2020]The 3D illusion looked great when it was painted in late 2018, but faded quickly. The city said it would repaint the crosswalk if it proved effective at slowing traffic. Guess it didn't.

A 3D Crosswalk in Kansas City! One of two (so far) 3D crosswalks in Kansas. The other is in the city of Olathe.
[Spencer, 02/13/2019]The crosswalk was painted in Nov. 2018, and was inspired by similar 3D crosswalks in Iceland. Its purpose is to get drivers to slow down, so don't speed along the street to see it.

The Halfwit at Bell Plastics came from Flint, Michigan, but maybe he had moved to Flint from Kansas City. Muffler Men are often well-traveled.
