The catfish is hard to see if you are driving west on Highway 79. Driving east it is very easy to see. Other landmarks are a Shell gas station on the southeast corner and a Sonic Restaurant on the northwest corner.
A good place to park is in a dentist's parking lot immediately east of the catfish. Turn into the parking lot of the check cashing store (across the street from Shell) and the dentist office will be to the left, right behind the catfish. Veterans Drive is numbered as US 641, so watch for the junction signs and you know you are getting close.
