Giant Earth Globe

Was driving by and I saw this big guy just hanging out. I parked in the plaza and walked right up. It's bigger in person than it appears in photos.

The globe was built at the entrance to Leisure World, a retirement community, in 1966. It's 40 feet tall and weighs two tons. It bears a strong resemblance to the Unisphere in New York City, which is 100 feet taller.
