The sculptures are in front of the former El Vado Motel. Though its signs are still up, the property is now a private residence and no longer a motel. Jim Parks purchased the property in 1992, and created the sculptures. Anchored on two tree stumps that are already rotting are mounds of skis, bikes, printers, keyboards, and other found ephemera; one has a theme of Work, the other Play.
There's a long pull-off for parking directly in front of the property, next to the highway, but be careful getting in and out.
