Sausalito, California: Mermaid of Sausalito
Bronze sculpture of an aquatic temptress. Sculpted by artist Jenny Wasser, the 2-ton work was first snubbed in 2000 by local arts officials who didn't want to be known as a mermaid town. Her siren wail has beckoned from a gas station for decades since.

Located in gas station parking lot so there's plenty of room to park and take pics. Has very nice details! But looks like by the sign posted they are hoping to have her moved downtown, which I think would be a much better spot for her. She's just really out of place where she sits.
