The Frontier Town is absolutely phenomenal -- the amount of work Dobby put into this place. It's perfectly preserved, free (donation appreciated), and you can walk into all of the buildings. Don't miss this stop along the way to Carhenge!

If you're in town to see Carhenge, this is worth a stop as well and just down the street. The highlights include a bordello, a mortician, a small working distillery and a dentist, though there are plenty more buildings to visit. It is a bizarre mix of period relics and more modern items they happened to find to fill in the gaps. A local group has been managing it and continues to expand since the passing of Dobby.

In the same town as Carhenge, 82-year-old Kenneth "Dobby" Lee has collected, moved and renovated a dozen buildings, including a funeral home, saloon and bordello. He's creating Frontier Town near his home since 1988. He hosts a 2-day free festival in mid-September staffed by historic re-enactors.
