Roxaboxen is a park that originated in the early 1900s among children who created an imaginary world. There is a book, Roxaboxen, about it.

Helicopter poised on a pole at one of the entrances to the Yuma Proving Ground. Take exit 12 off I-8 and go north on Fortuna Road, then north on Hwy 95 to Martinez Lake Road. It's a little over 2 miles, on the left side, on the corner of Campo Avion Road and Martinez Lake Road.

- I-8 exit 12. Drive north on Fortuna Rd for 1.5 miles. Turn right at the T intersection onto US Hwy 95. Drive 13 miles. Turn left onto Martinez Lake Rd. Drive 2.5 miles. You'll see the chopper on the left, at the intersection of Campo Avion Rd.
The Statue of Liberty rendition is over ten feet tall, approximately 400 pounds, and is made with re-purposed steel and other objects that helped build America. The purpose of the statue is to remind everyone how precious and significant liberty is and to help "Proclaim Liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof!"
[Drake Ventoris, 12/23/2023]Sculpted by Jud Turner in 2022, the copper-colored statue stands in front of an outdoor wall mural of lower Manhattan. It lights up at night.

It is a land train driver machine "Le Tourneau TC-947" located on Imperial Dam Road. It is 30 feet tall and the tires are 10 feet in diameter. You will need a visitor's pass from the visitor center to see it.
[Fortunato Neri, 08/11/2023]This is the control cab for an early 1960s experimental turbine-powered "overland train" for the U.S. Army. It was the longest off-road vehicle in the world until the rest of it was sold for scrap in 1969.

The scrubby plot of land that was Roxaboxen was partly destroyed by a developer, then saved and turned into a city park, of sorts, in 2000. There are no trees, just dust and rocks.
