Being a huge Shawshank Redemption movie fan, this was a must stop. Expect to spend at least two hours. And the driving tour to see some areas where scenes were filmed adds another hour. We did the self-guided tour with the audio and didn't feel we missed anything. However, if you take a guided tour, you'll see some places off-limits. Hours are 11am-4pm and we arrived at 11 and finished everything around 2:30.

Nov. 28 2021: Signmanjoe reports "The horse can still be seen from the road, but it is no longer possible to get up close to take photos. There are two fences surrounding the property, and one of the fences has barbed wire on top. There are also 'No Trespassing'."
