It appears that a mini-golf ordered a head-burying ostrich statue and somehow got a giraffe instead.

Baja Mini Golf is a tropical-themed course with several unremarkable animal statues -- except for the giraffe. Its face is buried in the ground. We thought perhaps it used to be drinking from a pond on the course -- and that's possible, but its entire face is in the ground. So the best we came up with was that the giraffe is imitating an ostrich, or that there was miscommunication about animals with long necks with their heads near the ground. It's bizarre.
